Spunlace
Phoenix Fabrikations was one of the first offering spunlace nonwovens in the market. Spunlace nonwovens is the name for hydro-entangled nonwoven Spunlace by Phoenix Fabrikations.
Spunlace is a nonwoven textile that finds extensive applications across industries. Mainly used in the form of wipes, spunlace is flexible and can be easily tailored to suit specific needs. The fabric is durable and is capable of exhibiting a wide range of properties depending on the underlying raw material. It can be thin, flimsy, soft, absorbent, permeable, and water soluble; but it is equally possible to create spunlace that is thick, insulated and water repellant, as well as making it ideal for diverse sectors such as hygiene and heavy industries.
Hydroentangled spunlace
Hydroentangled spunlace is created by using high-pressure water jets to mechanically bond raw fibres, to form a strong fabric without employing the traditional spinning or weaving processes. Raw material used can include cotton, viscose, polyester, polypropylene and chemical binders as required to achieve the desired characteristics in the finished spunlace product.
